Taking care with love

Jan and I have been together for almost 50 years. Since Jan was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago, our relationship has changed. Jan occasionally pees involuntarily. Because of his dementia, it was initially advised to start using absorbent pants.
Through thick and thin, as the saying goes. Our relationship has changed since he was diagnosed with dementia. Of course I care for him with love, and I shall always keep doing so.

But it’s not like it was before. Jan occasionally pees involuntarily. Because of his dementia, it was initially advised to start using absorbent pants. But I didn’t find this handy at all. To change it, I had to take all his clothes off every time, including his shoes. Jan didn’t understand what was going on. Taking clothes off meant for him that the day was at an end, so it confused him. I asked the woman at Customer Services if there was another option. She advised us to try Absorin Sanette. The pad can be simply placed in cotton underpants or in special net pants.

It is easier for me to change it, and the clothes can stay on. This saves me so much time and lots of frustration for Jan.
